I’m a Palm Tree

When it comes to understanding one's self through life's metaphors, as an avid lover of nature, more notably of trees, I ask the question, 'What type of tree would you be?'

My answer to this was simple, I wanted to be a palm tree. Reason being is because not only were they resilient, they were self-sustaining and resourceful to all those who came upon them, they offered food and shelter to those in need, and yet still manage to exhibit it's own uniqueness, in it's leaves, bark and entire being.

It's here that I wanted to paint a palm tree that reflected just that, to inspire the viewer, if they too identified with the palm tree, that they could stand tall and proud in their individualism and whether any storm that may come their way.
