I am that I am
I am that I am
You may have heard the phrase, 'I Am that I Am' and pondered it's meaning. Spiritually, one is encouraged to recite this to bring one's self back to a state of pure awareness, prior to thoughts, free from perceptions, associations, memories. In doing so, we embody the essence of the observer, the one who notices everything but remains detached from outcomes, judgements and situations. This is in turn brings a state of peace, calm and relaxation even in the midst of perceived chaos. While reflecting on this, I wanted to create an art piece that exhibited this as I translated the feelings that bubbled to the surface into a vast array of colors and textures.
